The Filter menu plug-ins all have only a single 8BF file and the Export plug-ins have only a single 8BE file.Īnother big difference I experience between Filter menu plug-ins and File > Export plug-ins is this: You may need to find the 8BE files before it will work OR, and I am sure you already looked, check your Filter menu and see if they show up there. My Franzis plug-ins that are accessed via the File > Export menu are not 8BF, but 8BE therefore, "E" probably means Export. It may have no bearing on the issue, but this is what I am seeing.Īll of my MANY plug-ins that are accessible via the Filter menu are 8BF files I am now thinking that the "F" means Filter. I just had a closer look at my plug-ins folder and had to resort to the magnifying glass to confirm what I was seeing. It is further complicated by the fact that files exported from the programs are either Tiff or jpg not. I am presently using the other programs from the Tasl Bar, but it does not fit into my workflow. My initial error was missing the link to add them as add-ins when I initially installed them. However the file names for Phot-Zoom include "automation", which seems to suggest they are dedicated add-in files.įranzis support is very polite but they don't seem to understand my problem and give me complete instructions. That may be the problem, possibly the main files must also be copied into the Elements plug-in folder. The Photo-Zoom add-in is activated from Elements Automation but is not pinned to the Task Bar, all of the other four Franzis programs are pinned to the Task Bar and are activated from there. There are two versions of the files in the download, one is for Mac and the other for Windows. I assume they are links from Elements to the main program. There is only one file each for DENOISE & SHARPEN, both. 8bf file of 290 KB, the other is a 8.li file of 3127KB, and there is a third. I do notice that there are 3 files for the Photo-Zoom, two of which are named "PHOTOZOOM Pro6 Automation", one an. The Sharpen file in the plug-in folder is SHARPENProjects3Professional-PH7圆4. In the screen shot the two files for Denoise and Sharpen are both loaded directly into the Plug-in folder and are both 圆4.8bf files. Possibly I am not using the correct Elements plug-in folder? What makes it more of a mystery is that there is no sign of Zoom or Elements+, which are both operating add-ins in the plug-in folder. This has now been going on for over two years. I check the Automation Tools menu and there is no deNoise? I go to Editor>Files>Automation Tools and I get this error message ( See attached screen shot “plug-in’ ) I copy and paste in Elements 2018 Plugin Folder I download the Add-in for Denoise#2 Professional ( see attached screen shot “de-Noise Add-in” ) Copy the plugins into PSE plugins folder manually. Then take the latest plugins from the program installation folder, no matter which year it says. This a copy of their last e-mail to me and my reply I now never use them because of the disruption to my workflow. I followed their instructions but Unfortunately I still am unable to install the plug-ins into my Elements 2018. I eventually made contact again, thanks to your link. I am still struggling with the Franzis Add-ons.
